r. ChungGon Kim graduated from medical school in Korea, completed his internship program, and practiced for several years in Korea as a general physician. He was interested in studying exercise science as preventive medicine for those who are at high risk of activity-associated chronic diseases. He studied excise science in his master’s degree and acquired his doctoral degree in motor control and learning and minored in gerontology. 

He joined NIE in 2003 teaching motor control and related topics, sports injuries and prevention, and fitness & conditioning. His interests of research include acoustic flow perception and postural control, talent identification and prediction in sport performances, exercise and health benefits in elderly, motor memory in skill acquisition, and microtrauma and knee injury.

Areas of expertise: Motor Learning, Skill Acquisition, Neural and Behavioural Motor Control, Neuromuscular Control of Human Movement, Motor Control, Gerontology, Sport injury and prevention and Preventive medicine through exercise.
