ecturer Eugene Chew was the former Chief for Sports Management & Development Group at the Singapore Sports Council (SSC).   He was a key member of the senior management team which was responsible for driving Singapore’s sporting vision, and was Singapore’s representative in the International Council for Coach Education.  Prior to his corporate practice in SSC, Mr Chew was part of the team that developed the Character Education programme in Temasek Polytechnic. He taught Physical Education in National Junior College, Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Raffles Institution.  A trained physical education teacher, he was a graduate of the pioneer batch of the College of Physical Education.  His research interests center on motivation, parental influence and physical activity in children and early adolesscents.
