Koon Teck led a team of officers from CCAB in developing a basketball skills test manual for schools. The Basketball Skills Test (BASST) Manual has been completed in December 2006. The basketball test items have been designed to help basketball players and their coaches to fully appreciate their level of competence in basketball skills.  It aims to provide an objective tool to track basketball players’ progression in skills so that good players with potential can be systematically identified and groomed.
